The excitement has been building toward the 3rd annual Bluewater Outriggers Charity Offshore Classic and the Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend June 3rd and 4th at the Port St Joe Marina. As last year, officials will again permit fish to be trucked in for weighing from launching facilities between Indian Pass and Mexico Beach and rules will permit fishing to begin immediately following the Captains Party at 8:00 P.M. on June 3rd for all those who want to get an early start.

$5,000 FISHING SLAM
Once again the BlueWater Outriggers Offshore Classic (June 3-4) has joined the Marquardt's Offshore Classic (July 29-30) and Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA) (Aug. 26-27) fishing tournaments to form the three tournament PANHANDLE KINGFISH SLAM. This new (started in 2010) feature to tournament fishing in our area should further entice you to fish the BlueWater tournament this year as it is the first leg of this slam. The winning boat of the slam will capture $5000+ in cash and prizes. The winner will be determined and awarded the prizes after the 3rd leg of the Slam which is the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association tournament in August. And for the first time the BlueWater Classic is offering a KID'S DIVISIION-16 years and younger. $500 in cash & prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught from the tournament species. George Duren (850-896-4930) is the tournament promoter and Capt. Mitch Coleman (850-896-4930) is the Tournament Director.
