ABOUT COASTLINE

We like to think that Forgotten CoastLine is a rather unique FREE monthly tabloid publication. At least that's what our readers tell us. Many call, write or email from across the country (and world) to tell us they enjoy the contents and presentation. Many subscribe ($40 annually) and hundreds of copies are recycled each month. Read locally and then mailed to friends, information seekers and business associates by real estate companies, chambers of commerce, businesses and individuals.

Forgotten CoastLine is a combination lifestyle, business, recreation, real estate, travel, news and events publication with a positive emphasis on "fun in the sun."  Monthly readership is likely around 25,000 folks. And because of the exceptional quality of the readership it gets outstanding results. Many of our advertisers have been with us since the beginning more than 20 years ago. Feel free to call any advertiser to get their opinion as to its effectiveness and about the delightful attitude of our readers.

MONTHLY RATES

Rates are quoted on a PER MONTH basis.

CoastLine is published monthly and the publication is FREE OF CHARGE. Quoted rates include a frequency discount since CoastLine does not accept "one-time" advertisements (except from regular advertisers with special needs for a particular month).

A minimum 8,000 copies are printed each month and distributed on, or prior to, the first Monday of each month. The distribution area is from Mexico Beach (Bay County) to St. Marks (Wakulla County) - Florida's Forgotten Coast.

"Best Buy" Bonus

All advertisers running a "Best Buy" advertisement, OR LARGER, receive our FREE "run of paper" spot color on their ad. The color changes each month.

All advertisers running a "Best Buy" advertisement, OR LARGER, also receive a FREE "Hey, Look us Over" box on the front page of CoastLine.

NO CONTRACTS

CoastLine does not ask you to sign any contracts. When you insert your ad we will continue to run it until you tell us to change it or stop it.

If you determine CoastLine is not an effective advertising tool for your business we don't expect you to continue advertising. We'll even recommend what media might be best for your particular business.

We request a check for your first advertisement, along with your contact information so we can bill you for subsequent advertisements. Invoices (mailed around distribution time) are payable within 20 days. No advertisement will be run if advertiser falls 30 days behind in billing.

NO HASSLES

Don't worry if you don't pay your bill. We have never sued anyone. And won't. Life is too short to spend it in litigation. We'll just pretend we don't know each other and not make eye contact on the street. Or at social gatherings. Or at Chamber meetings.

If your advertisement isn't perfect, relax. Take it from a former "perfectionist" - it's a sickness that will cause ulcers, a furrowed brow and thinner hair.

If we goof up "big time", tell us about your concerns and we'll immediately adjust your bill accordingly.

If you seem to have "concerns" month after month, we will likely ask for a divorce and recommend another advertising vehicle. Some relationships simply don't work out.

DEADLINES

First time advertisers must reserve space by the 10th of the month in order to get in the next publication. We sometimes can't accept advertising because the paper is full and to expand the paper the mandatory four pages for a single ad would not be cost effective.

Existing advertisers who wish to increase or decrease the size of their ad should do so by the 10th of the month. All new advertising copy and changes must be in CoastLine hands by the 12th.

Proofs are provided to new advertisers (and real estate companies) if all deadlines are met.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Photographs, text  and logos shoud be submitted electronically by email whenever possible.  Please do not "format" the text. We have a professional who does that, and it actually makes her work harder when text is submitted in Word, Wordperfect, or formatted emails. Plain text, cut and pasted from Windows Notepad directly into the text body of an email message is the preferred method of delivering text for inclusion in your advertisement.

If we must scan paper photographs, the first five new photographs in an advertisement are included in the quoted price. Additional photo scanning rates are $5 each.

ADVERTORIALS

"Advertorial" rates will be quoted for each individual situation. We have found over the years that our readers love the in depth, readable advertising we call Advertorials. Readers tend to spend more time on these ads, and has been shown to be quite effective.
